Description
|
A fine pair of Vienna plates painted with fashionable figures showing the costume and hairstyles of the period. The decoration is taken from a series of engravings entitled ""Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Francaise"" The coeffure au colisee (coliseum hairstyle) was a ladies hairstyle in the 18th century.
