Description An extremely rare Derby teacup and saucer, possibly made as a Sèvres replacement, decorated with bold chinoiserie figures and devices within elaborate gilded borders

Marked with pseudo Sèvres marks in gold (BB for 1779) A for the artist C A Asselin

A Sèvres vase in Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II collection has a similar decoration and is also dated 1779, painted by C A Asselin
