An extremely rare pair of Höchst porcelain plaques finely painted with battle encampment scenes after the 17th century Dutch artist 'Philips Wouwerman'. Each of the porcelain frames surmounted by reclining putto modelled by J P Melchior The source of the painting on one of the plaques is after Philips Wouwerman, Wallace Collection, London (please see image of this painting)
