|
Sèvres biscuit porcelain group of children drinking milk ‘Enfants buveurs de lait’ Incised cursive B on the back of rock for Bachelier, director of sculpture stuidio (1751-1757 and 1766-1773) Modelled as two children, one drinking milk from a bowl, the other pulling at his arm, a piglet in a basket and a basket of fruit at their feet on a shaped rocky base. Recorded as a model by Etienne-Maurice Falconet after a drawing by Francois Boucher.
