Description
|
An extremely rare Bow ladle, the centre of the bowl is painted with sprays of flowers and the border with a continuous flower garland, the handle is in the form of an undulating fishtail. The underside of the bowl is painted with a large bouquet of flowers and a puce decorative border which continues through the handle . 17.5cm Length This ladle appears to be the only Bow polychrome example recorded. A blue and white example was sold in the Billie Pain Collection at Bonhams on 26 November, 2003, lot 56.
