Description
|
An extremely rare Tournai sucrier or small tureen cover and stand, painted with small flowers and larger flowering plants in a delicate shade of blue. Fine moulding in a rococo style. Transitional first/second period. (First period 1751-1762, Second period 1763-1774) Marks in blue: inside cover: No 1, inside tureen: No 2, base of stand: N(?)3. Tureen 12cm High, 19cm Wide and 13cm Deep Stand 27cm Wide 18cm Deep

Cover with a hairline to the top and small manufacturing fire faults. The base with a graze to one swirl and fritting.
