Description
|
Two rare Meissen figures of the Holzspalter - 'The Wood Splitter' and the Holzäger – 'The Wood Sawyer’ modelled by J.J.Kändler. After drawings by Edmé Bouchardon.
Whilst these two figures are not in the conventional sense a pair, they are traditionally presented together as professions in the wood-working trade.
