Description
|
A very rare and early Meissen teapot and cover of squat globular form with an applied double scrolled handle and eagle head spout picked out in purple and yellow. The body is sparsely painted with sprays of Indianische blumen flowers in the Kakiemon style. The foliate-moulded base of the spout is picked out in an iron-red - silver chain. Mark: crossed swords mark in purple enamel. Circa 1725-30 11cm High 15cm Wide (Spout to Handle)
