Description
|
An extremely rare pair of Meissen Chinese nodding boys, each modelled with a raised foot and colourful garments and yellow slippers. Their heads are attached via an interior construction allowing for the head to nod and their hats are formed as cabbage leaves. Modelled by J J Kändler and Friedrich Elias Meyer. These models were also made with attached heads. 22cm High 7.5cm Wide 10cm Deep

Condition

One head with a faint hairline and some minor restoration to the necks where the metal attaches to the porcelain – tiny chip to sleeve of pink boy and some flowers chipped at the bases.
