Pair of Sèvres soft-paste porcelain pomade pots and covers (pot à pomade) painted with flowers, mounted with elegant and intricately worked ormolu, creating beautiful 'pot-pourris'.
Date letter U for 1773.
One painted by Etienne Evans (Active 1752-86) Painter - Birds, animals, flowers)
The other painted by Pouillot (Active 1773-9) Painter - Flowers
Gilders mark for Theodore-Pierre Buteux (Active 1765-80) Painter - Gilder.
The mounts are early 19th century.
