Description
|
A very unusual and rare Paris porcelain scent bottle representing a figure of a Chinese man with a pointed hat, the top of which creates the stopper. Gold decoration to the figure; the face is coloured and has an iron-red open mouth.
15cm High
Base 4.5cm Sq.
Marks: Incised jp or io mark possibly for Jacob Petit, Belleville, Paris - impressed marks, 28 and 840, possibly for 1840.
