Description
|
An exceptional Sèvres tasse à toilette, couvercle, et soucoupe painted with a ‘bleu lapis’ ground and beautiful gilt floral cartouches of colourful sprays of flowers, the finial is formed as a brown stem with green leaves, and the double scroll handles are embellished with gilt. Date letter g for 1760 and painted by Bertrand, painter of flowers (active 1757-75) Cup 9cm High, 6.5cm Dia. Saucer 12.5cm Dia. The stripes of light are from the camera, the porcelain is in fine condition.
